    Our K–4th grade students are taking a trip to Pirate Pete's Pumpkin Patch!

    • Date: Friday, October 9th

    • Location: Pirate Pete’s Pumpkin Patch (900 Boonville Road, Ukiah)

    📅 Trip Schedule:

    • K–2nd Grade: Arrive at patch ~9:00 AM | Return to school ~10:00 AM

    • 3rd–4th Grade: Arrive at patch ~10:10 AM | Return to school ~11:00 AM

    🎟️ Cost: Free! Thanks to the PTO, every student will receive one medium-sized pumpkin at no cost to you. If you plan on attending the field trip, feel free to purchase additional pumpkins or squash while you are there.


    🚌 Transportation Policy

    For safety and attendance tracking, all students will take the school bus to and from the pumpkin patch together.

    • No Private Transportation: Parents/guardians may not drive students individually or pick them up directly from the patch. If your student does not attend school that day they may not participate in the field trip even if they have private transportation.

    • Family Visits: If you would like to visit the pumpkin patch with your family, please schedule a separate trip on a different day.

    🙋‍♂️ Chaperones & Permission Slips

    Would you like to join us as a chaperone? We’d love to have you! To chaperone, please make sure to complete all required steps:

    1. Notify your child’s teacher.

    2. Fill out and return the permission slip packet sent home with your student.

    3. Complete the district volunteer application.

    4. Complete the Mandated Reporter training.



    ⚠️ Important District Policy: Per District Guidelines, all attending parents and chaperones must be fully cleared prior to the trip. For student safety, parents who have not completed these requirements will not be permitted to join or meet classes at the pumpkin patch.


    🧥 What to Wear:

    • It is a non-uniform day (school-appropriate attire).

    • Grounds can be muddy and wet, and weather may be chilly. Please send your student in closed-toe shoes and a jacket or sweatshirt.
